To assist the client country in mitigating the threats and reducing the vulnerabilities associated with smuggling, unlawful entry, and terror at its border crossings, BSWi developed a comprehensive solution incorporating state-of-the-art systems and procedures.
In response to the client’s growing need to combat threats exacerbated by outdated systems and procedures at its border crossings, BSWi implemented a range of advanced systems and a series of procedures designed to positively identify and mitigate threats.
Border security represents one of the most important, challenging, and sensitive aspects of any country’s national security system. When border control measures are correctly implemented, they help to create a kind of sieve, permitting the free movement of authorized people and goods, while preventing illicit ones from passing through (e.g. criminal and terrorist entities, illegal drugs, weapons, and large quantities of valued natural resources).
In addition to unit formation and capacity building services, we also provided the client with a range of state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies. These were designed to disrupt smuggling efforts and other illicit activities to the greatest extent possible, while simultaneously mitigating the effect on lawful, authorized border activities.
