BSWi performs comprehensive aviation security surveys to ensure that airports qualify for ICAO certification.
BSWi carries out a wide range of surveys that aim to ensure airports achieve ICAO certification.
The surveys assess all the main components of airport security operations including: deployment of manpower and technology; screening of passengers; check-in; screening of luggage; cargo screening; aircraft and airport perimeter protection; protection of immediate airspace, apron and airport structures; and command and control centers.
As an integral part of the survey, BSWi provides gap analysis reports detailing any discrepancies between the required ICAO international standards for aviation security and the current security level of the airport concerned.
The primary objective of our airport surveys is to establish which areas of aviation security require improvement in order to comply with ICAO international standards, as well as to determine which additional TSA measures should be implemented.
BSWi’s airport surveys are carried out by aviation experts with extensive industry experience. The summaries provided include a list of recommendations and areas for improvement. BSWi can also provide the equipment, support, and consultancy services for the required modifications where necessary.
