The past few years have seen a shift from a focus on perimeter security to the realization that a committed attacker will be able to breach any kind of defense. In terms of improving or designing networking systems, this means that resources must be reallocated so that defense, detection, and remediation factors are all taken into account.
BSWi analyzes existing environments before recommending a suitable course of action. This will generally revolve around one of the following three axes:
Defense: Recommended strategies to make security breaches more difficult following a holistic analysise of the environment. Measures may include firewalls (both internal perimeter), application firewalls, secure access, Network Access Control, and segmentation with the aim of hardening the entire environment.
Detection: Installation of sensors across the network to monitor traffic patterns, detect trends, and identify anomalies. We can also implement centralized monitoring from basic log collection to full-function SIEM solutions with AI/ML functionality.
Remediation: BSWi has extensive experience in preparing and assisting clients in tackling security incidents. We provide training and consulting on incident response and can also assist in managing response and the whole range of DR/BC processes.
